Recently, I have built a UI to teach the general public about SED fitting of galaxy spectra with JWST - you can find it on GitHub here. The aim of the game is to tweak the sliders to create the best model for the data available by minimising the score. The code runs of Bagpipes from Adam Carnall and is preloaded with few latest JADES spectra.
In April 2024, I gave a 30 min talk on modern observational techniques at the Institute of Astronomy in Cambridge. In my talk, I presented new observational techniques such as Active and Adaptive optics, integral field spectroscopy and how ESO is building the largest telescope yet.
Astronomy on Tap - Gothenburg 2020
I was involved in organising the Gothenburg branch of Astronomy on Tap. During covid, I gave a virtual talk on my work. How do we assess the impact of black hole on their host galaxies.
I was incredibly lucky enough to be interviwed by Jason Zackowski on the Science Pawdcast. This amazing podcast combines Science, empathy and cuteness to bring recent science news and an interview with an expert about their research, how they got to science and pet stories. I talked about my reaserch on supermassive black holes and their on galaxy evolution as well as interferometry, IFU and observing with modern telescopes.
I was asked to come back to Science Pawdcast, this time as live Q&A on Twitter Spaces. Due to timezones, I was doing this at 2 am in the morning, but I really enjoyed all of the questions!
